Cortex HDR
High data rate receiver for space science and Earth observation
Details
Cortex HDR is a high-data-rate receiver developed for satellite downlinks that carry large volumes of Earth-observation or space-science data. Safran positions the unit for X- and Ka-band reception and publishes demodulation capability up to 10 Gbps in supported configurations. The software-defined Cortex architecture allows current and future mission profiles to be addressed without replacing the complete hardware platform. It can be deployed as part of an integrated ground station or within a more virtualized processing architecture. CCSDS-oriented operation and configurable interfaces make it suitable for ground segments that need both high throughput and flexibility across different spacecraft programs.
