XMA

XMA is a compact, ruggedized remote data-acquisition unit for flight-test and networked instrumentation systems. Installing acquisition close to the sensors reduces long analogue cable runs and helps limit wiring weight and signal exposure in constrained aircraft areas. Safran offers module sets for many signal types and describes a high channel-to-volume ratio. Beyond acquisition, XMA configurations can provide local recording, data processing, GPS reception and data transmission. Status and health information are available remotely to support live monitoring and data qualification. The exact module population, channel count, sampling capability and environmental qualification are selected for each instrumentation architecture.
