Guardian® Dual Internal Auxiliary Fuel Tank System

The Guardian Dual Internal Auxiliary Fuel Tank System (IAFTS) is an internal extended-range solution for selected HH-60G, MH-60K/L/M, S-70A and S-70i helicopter configurations. Its two tanks are designed to be crashworthy and self-sealing in accordance with MIL-DTL-27422. Robertson lists cockpit-controlled transfer, cockpit fuel-quantity indication and single-point pressure refuelling as integrated operating features. Fuel may be transferred by suction or an internal pump, allowing the installation to support different mission profiles. Each tank is designed for installation or removal in approximately 15 minutes. Final fit, restraint arrangement and usable capacity depend on the approved aircraft configuration.
