MDR-GT is the high-throughput member of Safran Data Systems’ airborne recording and processing family. It is intended for flight-test applications that generate very large data volumes and require fast onboard movement, processing and storage. Safran publishes aggregate data rates up to 16 Gbps and storage options in the tens of terabytes for supported configurations. A common mainframe architecture provides built-in high-speed functions, while compatibility with MDR acquisition modules allows existing interface choices to be reused. Support for interfaces such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel makes MDR-GT suitable for sensor-rich aircraft and other demanding instrumentation programs.
