Single Internal Auxiliary Fuel Tank System

Details

The Guardian Single Internal Auxiliary Fuel Tank System (IAFTS) is intended for compatible HH-60G, MH-60K/L/M, S-70A, S-70i and UH-60A/L/M helicopters. Its crashworthy, self-sealing tank is designed to meet MIL-DTL-27422 while occupying limited cargo-compartment space. The system supports single-point pressure refuelling, cockpit-controlled transfer and cockpit fuel-quantity indication. Transfer can use suction or an internal pump, and Robertson states that installation or removal can be completed in approximately 10 minutes. Optional equipment includes a rescue-hoist bracket and Micro-FARE support. Aircraft-specific approval, capacity and mission loading must be confirmed for the selected installation.
