Pulse MZ Modulator Bias Controller
Overview
Mach-Zehnder drift caused by aging and environmental changes destroys pulse extinction ratio at the MIN bias point. Exail MBC-DG-LAB-based pulse bias control locks and holds the MIN point, preserving high extinction ratio for optical pulse generation from 760 nm up to 2200 nm.
Key features
- Auto-set bias points (MIN, MAX, QUAD ±)
- Continuous tuning of the operating point
- USB remote control
- Operating wavelength from 760 nm up to 2200 nm
- LiNbO3, InP and GaAs modulators
Specifications
- Operating wavelength: 760 nm to 2200 nm
- Locking accuracy @ Quad: 90 ± 0.5 degree
- Extinction ratio at MIN mode: 50 ± 0.05 dB
Applications
- Optical pulse generation
- High-extinction-ratio pulse chains
- LiNbO3 modulator stabilization
