LFR

LFR is a Lightweight Flight Recorder concept aimed at aircraft where mass, volume and installation complexity must be tightly controlled. The published product information combines flight data, audio and 4K video recording with integrated microphone, GNSS and inertial sensing functions. The crash-protected design references the ED-155 minimum operational performance standard for lightweight recording systems. SERMA Ingénierie’s BANKSIA research program also confirms ongoing work on an ultra-compact ED-155 recorder for light aviation and future air-mobility applications. Final qualification, recording duration, interface set and production configuration remain program dependent and should be confirmed against the latest approved datasheet.
