Polarization Switches & Scramblers
Overview
Exail polarization scramblers (PSC-LN) and polarization switches (PSW-LN) are integrated-optic devices built on a low-loss single-mode waveguide. They modulate polarization at frequencies from DC to more than 10 GHz across an optical bandwidth wider than 100 nm, covering the C+L bands.
Key features
- C+L band operation
- DC to more than 10 GHz
- Low insertion loss
- Elimination of polarization sensitivity (depolarizing)
- Polarization scrambling
- Interferometers and sensors
Specifications
- Modulation: DC to more than 10 GHz
- Optical bandwidth: more than 100 nm (C+L bands)
Applications
- Polarization scrambling and depolarizing
