RRH covers AW2S Remote Radio Head and Remote Radio Unit platforms used in modern wireless infrastructure. AW2S designs radio equipment spanning 2G through 5G and combines those products into private, tactical, professional-mobile-radio and cellular network solutions. Moving the radio function close to the antenna can reduce feeder losses and support distributed base-station architectures, while the selected radio unit determines bands, output power and supported access technology. SERMA Ingénierie also identifies RF transmit/receive and remote-radio-head development within its telecommunications activities. Exact band combinations, power classes, cooling and fronthaul interfaces depend on the chosen AW2S configuration.
